Version 0.9 will not open earlier version of Freemind

Recently updated from version 0.8 to 0.9, and received a java error when trying to open earlier files.

The problem was solved for version 1.0 , which is currently beta.

I have been using freemind for a couple of years and its very good, looking into other opensource alternatives now just to see if there is anything else better out there which keeps competition going ! :)

If only programs like this freed themselves of the need to have a central/master/anchor concept.
It's much easier if you can have the CHOICE of having a number of central nodes...like Compendim or cmap tools.
