DDG is brilliant

Positive Comment by DzSW
about DuckDuckGo Apr 2016

I really do love DDG. It's great to get away from Google due to their Privacy aspects and trying to track everything you do. DDG doesn't track your searches, has regional settings, themes, Image search etc. You must check out their 'Bangs' feature if you haven't already as well, so useful. A great search engine that has a refreshing privacy stance.

I use this because of its promises but, it is hosted by Amazonaws that has servers in the USA, that probably have to record your IP due to legislation. Either way its better than going to google if you want privacy.

DuckDuckGo is the best search engine. It has more privacy, less spam, 0-click info, !bang, and tons of custimizations. Found it in October, never used Google again.

Awesome in every way

about DuckDuckGo Jun 2011

Awesome in every way, like "MiddleOfNowhere" said a lot of attention is put to detail at DDG, many features I always wanted are included, like settings and separating results by meaning allowing more significant results. I even sended a mail with a few recomendations and "they" (single manteiner) responded right away!!
Simply awesome!!

Simplemente impresionante!

DDG is great. A lot of attention to detail, relevant results and goodies like "Zero Click Box" (will typically show the first paragraph from Wikipedia for a search term). Also, there's keyboard control, direct access to Wolfram Alpha features/results (e.g. for conversions) and what they call Bang! - these are keywords that will take you directly to certain sites.E.g., a query for "bbedit !alto" on DuckDuckGo will show BBEdit alternatives on alternativeto.net, and "Matrix !amazon" will list Matrix-related products on Amazon.com. I am using it as my default search engine now and only go to Google for "needle in a haystack" searches where every result matters. If you don't need the whole Autocomplete/Instant Search/Media Search Zoo from Google, this is a fast and reliable alternative.
