Revo Uninstaller Comments

Relic of it's old dangerous self.

I liked this program in the past until for a second time it "deep" cleaned more than it should making my windows unable to boot. The second time was especially bad because I was just uninstalling a program. Ever since I disliked the deep clean uninstall programs offer and that is why nowadays I use Geek Uninstaller. It lacks the deep clean feature and I am glad for it. Leaving some KB of traces behind or a couple or registry entries that will take up a tiny fraction in the huge hard drives we have nowadays is MUCH better than risking a deep clean that will will clean more than it should.

Iobit Uninstaller, it has options like shred files, the v2 was an .exe and does not need any installation, and of course has the batch uninstall option!

yep this is better alternative of revo uninstaller

Revo Uninstaller Pro leaves entries behind

I tested Revo Uninstaller Pro and it left pieces of a trial version of an app behind.

Yes, I got the same experience.
I believe for best results application should be installed with Revo in tracking mode. Apparently after that it will eliminate all of the traces left by an app.

Been using the crappy old version of Revo for a while, but it is extremely... sl... o..w... This, in combination with the fact that their current website blows ass and looks like some generic scam-site, I've been a little sceptical to the new version. However, tested latest version of Revo now and, by golly, it is sooo much better.

Best program to uninstall those hard to remove programs by far, it has everything you want and more. The pro version does add great features but if you cant afford it the free version will suit you just fine :D

Too expensive and the free version is too limited

about Revo Uninstaller · ·

I've always liked Revo, though it's a bit dangerous. But now it's too expensive and the free version is too limited. I'm looking for an alternative.

Couldn't agree more. Well... I have always found the UI to be lacking/glitchy, which makes me trust it less, and it screwed over my box once when uninstalling VMware Workstation...

The only problem I've encountered with Revo is that it keeps trying to uninstall Steam whenever I try to uninstall a Steam game. Nevertheless, the lack of a batch-delete feature is annoying.

Recommend this to anyone, Windows doesn't do a good job uninstalling programs as it tends to ignore items left behind. The only thing that could improve this program is a monitoring option at the beginning, but still very good. Also portable.

$39 for one 64bit-license, looking for alternatives already

about Revo Uninstaller · ·

I have loved Revo Uninstaller for years. However with the 64 bit being pay only I can appreciate the author wanting to be paid for his effort, but $39 for one license, looking for alternatives already.
