    The best non-open source app for Windows that plays music. Great at organizing music collections and even suggests local gigs based on bands you have stored in your library. But I would go for an open source alternative, and MusicBee doesn't help me have the same library on non-Windows machines.

    Not really like iTunes at all. You can't sync and set device preferences for your iPhone with this program.

    A similar interface, supports using folders as playlists so in that sense it's even better than itunes, many beautiful themes, lightweight. Musicbee feels like home, coming from itunes.

    Probably the only app I’ve encountered that currently does all that iTunes does and more, but the layout is much more cumbersome and clunky and will take some serious getting used-to.
