Threes! (by Asher Vollmer) and 
2048 (by Gabriele Cirulli) introduced great new puzzle mechanics, and White aims at improving them.
Unlike the aforementioned games:
- You can't beat White by sending all blocks towards a corner. You have to carefully decide where every block goes, or you'll be trapped very quickly.
- Large blocks don't just stay there forever. You can use bombs to eliminate them, hence play longer and achieve higher scores.
- You have two different game modes, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.
- Different types achievements are available to inspire you to play the game with different tactics to reach different goals. Don't forget to log into your Game Center account and challenge your friends!
The rules are very simple and there's a detailed tutorial to get you comfortable with the game. But here are a few tips anyway:
- Destroying larger blocks gets you higher scores.
- Try to get rid of White blocks. They are there only to annoy you!
- You haven't beaten the game (seriously) unless you've reached 4096!
