Doesn't play well with UEFI

I have had more trouble than luck with unetbootin with recent years. Try another tool that has better support for UEFI boot, which most distros use now.

UNetbootin was fine at one point but it rarely works anymore.
I'd recommend using Small Etcher iconEtcher or Small Rufus iconRufus for booting Linux distributions or using Small Boot Camp iconBoot Camp on Small macOS iconmacOS in order to boot Windows.

used to work well in the past, nowadays.. it pretty much doesn't work at all, if you use this software to create a bootable usb, it'll pretty much fail at booting 100% of the times

I only tried to use this on a Mac, so I'm not reviewing this for other operating systems . . . It didn't get far enough for that! That said, I downloaded Linux Mint, Installed UNetbootin and tried to use it. I selected ISO image, so far so good . . . but when I tried to look in the download folder it wouldn't show any files even after 5 minutes. I installed Etcher and it was able to find the file immediately.

Better than most (all?) others. Same operating on Linux (most versions) and most (all?) Windows.
Fast writing to all USB sticks & flash cards.
Allows only the one BOOT "ISO" operating system to default install, per stick or falsh-card.

Other troubles are independent of Unetbootin.
(1) Not able to read-write on the flash medium (card or stick). Use a DRIVE PARTITION application, to repair the card or stick, if it can ever be repaired; (gparted in Linux, Easeus Partition Master Free Edition in Windows, etc).

(2) Want multiple ISO choices to be installed, from a menu of choices; use YUMI, instead, or as well as Unetbootin.
