The best alternative is f.lux, which is free. Well It has a very nice pause feature! Very easy to use, and 1 of the best apps I have ever seen like this!works well, nice pause feature, very customizable. - Redshift adjusts the color temperature according to the position of the sun. A different color temperature is set during night and daytime.
