The developers of SpyHunter, and/or their affiliates, are spamming the web with countless nonsensical pages that pretend to describe malware and how to remove it. What they do is copy all the names from the malware dictionaries of virus scanners like Microsoft Security Essentials, and paste that name into always the same walls of text containing the same nonsensical (sometimes in barely understandable English) content.

In effect, they try to scare people into installing their software. The only reason for that can be that the software doesn't have any real qualities that would make people want to install it voluntarily and in a clear state of mind, and that it is potentially malicious itself.

These fake virus information websites are everywhere, under countless domains and different designs. What they all have in common is that their content is utterly worthless and misleading. They also swamp up the search results in case you're looking to get some actual information on a particular piece of malware.

I trust software which relies on such underhanded advertising tactics (preying on the fear of amateur computer users) about as much as any e-mails I get from African kings wanting to split their wealth with me.
