What is Rigel?
Did you know that the average time people spend on social media in a year is equivalent to reading 200 books!? What if we could convert some of this time into learning new things?
We thought about it, and realized there is no second easy option: easily finding good cultural material on the internet is hard, especially for less aware users. We then decided to develop Rigel to collect all this information into a single app to ease the process of accessing information, so that users can spend more time on discovering new things than losing time by scrolling social media feeds.
Rigel collects articles and other multimedia contents, like videos, about history, science, art, literature, music and many more topics from the most renown magazines and blogs across the internet. Then, it recommends them based on the user’s preferences. But bear in mind, Rigel IS NOT YANA (Yet Another News Aggregator): it does NOT provide news. its content is valid, readable and interesting even tomorrow, to give users all the time they need to read its articles and watch its videos.
