Nice, but expensive.

about Revo Uninstaller and IObit Uninstaller · · Helpful Not helpful

It's a nice program that uninstals better than Windows does. Unfortunately the free version comes with too many limitations and the pro version is too expensive. I went looking for an alternative and found the free IObit Uninstaller that does the same as Revo.

Free version of Revo Uninstaller: not for 64 bit

about Revo Uninstaller and Glary Utilities · · Helpful Not helpful

Uninstall Manager from Clary Utilities: one of the best portable uninstall apps for 64bit systems:

The portable Revo Uninstaller has more likes than Glary Utilities (also with tag "uninstaller"), but the free version of Revo Uninstaller does not run on 64 bit systems. The purpose of the Uninstall Manager is to remove unnecessary files and registry entries left behind by incomplete program uninstallation routines.

Apps, which could be uninstalled sucessfully:

Alk Copilot Central: the Uninstall Manager from Glary Utilities can uninstall parts of programs, which are not listed anymore in "Windows Add or Remove Programs" applet. I had a very good experience with uninstalling Alk Copilot Central, which was not listet in "Windows Add or Remove Programs". The Uninstall Manager from Glary Utilities removed a after a incomplete program uninstallation All parts very good und I found no entries from Alk Copilot Central in the registry afterwards.

I use Revo Uninstaller on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and works fine.

Best program to uninstall those hard to remove programs by far, it has everything you want and more. The pro version does add great features but if you cant afford it the free version will suit you just fine :D

Too expensive and the free version is too limited

about Revo Uninstaller · · Helpful Not helpful

I've always liked Revo, though it's a bit dangerous. But now it's too expensive and the free version is too limited. I'm looking for an alternative.

Couldn't agree more. Well... I have always found the UI to be lacking/glitchy, which makes me trust it less, and it screwed over my box once when uninstalling VMware Workstation...

The only problem I've encountered with Revo is that it keeps trying to uninstall Steam whenever I try to uninstall a Steam game. Nevertheless, the lack of a batch-delete feature is annoying.

$39 for one 64bit-license, looking for alternatives already

about Revo Uninstaller · · Helpful Not helpful

I have loved Revo Uninstaller for years. However with the 64 bit being pay only I can appreciate the author wanting to be paid for his effort, but $39 for one license, looking for alternatives already.

Phenomenal product.

It's amazing how much crap a program leaves when you use the built-in unistaller. Revo digs deep into the registry to get out all the tiny pieces that the stock uninstaller leaves behind. By default, it always backups registry prior to uninstalling. You can turn that feature on or off as you desire. Also has settings for how thorough a cleansing you want. Phenomenal product.
