Comments about ActivityWatch as an Alternative to RescueTime
Top Positive CommentMost Recent CommentlhoracekIt is very promising OSS project that I would like to see working. But not really cross platform yet as it's not able to sync, and matching browser window to page time does not work either. Activity classification is pain too at this point so I would like to see it getting better in time. Will check back in couple months.
RemovedUserActivityWatch is the best open source alternative to RescueTime. However while the desktop app is really good, the android app needs a bit of work. Nevertheless it is the best open source alternative to rescuetime that I have tried.

TimeCamp Features
There's automatic logging, just like in Recuetime. But unlike Rescuetime, your data is yours as the app is 100% open source, so IMO it is better suited for most corporate privacy policies and hence better for GDPR complience. Rescuetime is fine if you are a home user and don't care about privacy, but due to EU privacy law, it is not suited for the corporate environment in the EU.
