The best for Mac!

about Reeder and Flipboard · · Helpful Not helpful

The best native RSS client for OS X out there, and I tried a lot of them!
For iOS is a great app also, although I prefer the Flipboard approach.

The best-looking Mac RSS reader around

about Reeder · · Helpful Not helpful

The Mac version of Reeder is the best RSS reader I have ever used. It looks great, and the interface is incredibly easy; there's no learning curve whatsoever. The hard part is finding a comparable Windows alternative. I can't find a single Windows reader that doesn't look terrible. (I'm looking at you, FeedDemon.)

So true. And sadly it's kind of true for most applications except the really big. Even for example VLC looks much better om Mac then on Windows. I guess most designers use Mac.

Let's hope Windows 8 and a good application marketplace for Windows could change that. If people can make more money on software i think we will see better applications.

Reeder is best iPhone RSS reader I've come across so far. It caches articles so that you can read your RSS feed without a WiFi or 3G connection, making it better than Feedly, which just gives up the moment it detects that it can't connect to the internet. And unlike NetNewsWire, Reeder is optimized for the higher-resolution screen of the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4, and the user interface of Reeder doesn't bore you to death.
