Metastream VS Rabbit
Is Metastream a good alternative to Rabbit?Comments about Metastream as an Alternative to Rabbit
Comment summary: Metastream's appeal lies in its user-friendly interface and ability to easily sync videos for group watching. However, critiques point out its reliance on browser extensions and lack of Rabb.it's virtual machine feature. While praised for being a close alternative to Rabbit, it struggles with compatibility on sites beyond mainstream platforms. Some users appreciate its open-source nature, yet others are frustrated by limitations, such as the inability to stream Netflix or the need for shared account logins.CLOSEST to rabbit of all of these.
10I've used it so far to watch two episodes of Amphibia with my friend, just to catch a breather from everything going on. Other than the fact that it needs a chrome extension, and takes some time getting used to the shortcut keys to chat or add the video in, it's pretty good. Note: You can't stream the episode in full screen for some reason it doesn't work, but the functions are pretty easy to use
3It simply doesn't work most of the time, even for sharing YouTube
2for youtube videos, you just paste the url on the chat box and ta-dah!
1fopsiebest application to watch videos and streams together with friends, the UI/UX is just beautiful!

Is CyTube a good alternative to Rabbit?Comments about CyTube as an Alternative to Rabbit
bonepyramidI like the ui personally for how raw it is. It has some flaws but since its open source then anyone could help contribute to these issues since CyTube has so much potential.
0Videos flat do not sync, when they play at all.
4It's not the prettiest alternative, but it definitely includes a lot of features that Rabb.it didn't have. IMO it is almost perfect but doesn't provide screensharing; you have to either paste in the video url or upload a file.
4Cant cast a normal webpage

Kosmi is LITERALLY like Rabbit, pretty smooth and actually you can stream the audio of a specific tab on web browsers which is a plus!!! I think it's the most similar to Rabbit as I've tried the others.

Comments about Hyperbeam as an Alternative to Rabbit
The VM and the voice call/chat function is just what I needed to replace Rabbit. I won't be able to use anything else after using this.
Uses VM exactly like Rabb.it - It's a work in progress but already achieves all you standardly need.
Hyperbeam is pretty much Rabbit 2.0. It has everything that Rabbit provided and more. The staff team are very friendly and helpful. They've added more features and made it more user friendly. I recommend it to all.
Hyper bean is wonderful and continues to improve! The mods are friendly and interactive, they work as hard as possible to make sure you’re happy with your experience
Wonderful cozy little alternative. The default theme also doesn't potentially burn someones eyes. I hope it can become open source though. I wanna be able to customize it. That and it could thrive a lot more with allowing people to contribute to the development for it.
