MakeHuman vs Poser opinions
it creates 3d humanoid characters
grynnanHave some issues with some posing. However, open source makes it possible to customize some features. Open source also makes it possible to contribute to the code, to make it better. It has a small size compared to #2 DAZ, and doesn't require a supercomputer to render your scene. I use MakeHuman and DAZ 3D alot, but going from DAZ to makehuman, because makehuman works flawlessly on Linux as well.
Not intended for figure, manipulation, or scene setup and rendering. Only for figure creation and rigging, this is more similar to Blender than Poser, but Blender is perhaps the most powerful free 3D "creation" software.
No posing or perspective view. It's just for generating human models quickly for use in other software.
Not for custom posing, no perspective viewing of the model
You can't actually POSE in this program. It only has a few built-in poses, which you can't edit.
It's extremely rudimentary in comparison.
