Pale Moon isn't vulnerable to Meltdown & Spectre:

Pale Moon already set the granularity for the performance timers sufficiently coarse in Oct 2016 when it became clear that this could be used to perform hardware-timing based attacks and fingerprinting.
Pale Moon also, by design, doesn't allow buffer memory to be shared between threads in JavaScript, so the "SharedArrayBuffer" attack is not possible.

A Pale Moon version optimized for use on Windows XP and Intel Atom processors was also available until Pale Moon 27.
Now that branch has been discontinued and it will not receive other updates :(

Pale Moon has it's own XUL addons and does not support WebExtensions (Firefox addons). Here is a list of privacy addons available for Pale Moon.

This application uses its user interface from an older version. I think the user interface looks outdated now.

This app uses the UI from an old version. I think the UI just seems outdated now.

I agree the default UI seems old, but there are nice themes to customize it.

I really like Australium, which makes the browser look like the current Firefox style, and Material Moon, for who likes a Chrome-like UI :)

You can find them at http://addons.palemoon.org/themes/

Exactly. Just snag a theme and it's perfect... actually, more perfect ^ _ ^

An old UI doesn't mean bad.

In contrast to Firefox' Australis (or even Google Chrome), the UI of Pale Moon is more customizable.

New=good & not new=bad and obsolete? Utter nonsense. Its simple, non intrusive interface is exactly one of the reasons I still use Pale Moon. And IF you want to adapt it to your needs, there's plenty of resources and tools to do so.

the application itself is workable however you will find many new browser features are not supported. Websites may also complain that you need to upgrade your browser.

It's lightweight, does not take unnecessary memory with each new tab. The features it lacks from Firefox are the ones I've never used. It's actively developed and updated.

Pale Moon is a decent browser if your not run 20+ tabs at a time I run like 36 to 42 most of the time it is kinda slugish a lot. Firefox is moving forward and Pale Moon is stuck to like 2 to 2.
