MiniLight is described as 'minimal global illumination renderer. It is primarily an exercise in simplicity. But that makes it a good base and benchmark (in some sense) for development and experimentation. And it just might be the neatest renderer around (on average, about 650 lines)' and is an app in the Development category. There are more than 25 alternatives to MiniLight for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Autodesk 3ds Max and Sketchup. The best alternative is Adobe Dimension. It's not free, so if you're looking for a free alternative, you could try LuxCoreRender or POV-Ray. Other great apps like MiniLight are Keyshot (Paid), V-Ray (Paid), appleseed (Free, Open Source) and RenderMan (Free Personal).
OctaneBench® allows you to benchmark your GPU using OctaneRender. This provides a level playing field by making sure that everybody uses the same version and the same scenes and settings. Without these constraints, benchmark results can vary a lot.
