Microsoft Office Suite Reviews

Let's get the fact that this is made by Microsoft and that they have a poor track record with privacy out of the way. If you care about your privacy, you should already know to avoid this.

Despite what other people have said, I haven't had too many issues with its performance. Maybe I have been extremely lucky over the years. Maybe I haven't done intensive enough things to warrant a sluggish performance from the Office Suite. Whatever the case, I think that this suite should work well enough for general office needs.

(Okay, now that I think more about it, I will say that the loading speed of the applications in this suite can range from reasonably quick to unbearably slow. I think that on lower-end machines, Office becomes a chore for the computer to load.)

Don't be fooled, though! Remember, there are alternatives out there, hence this website. Don't get pulled into the idea that Microsoft Office Suite is the best and the only, and that you HAVE to shell out the money to get it. Honestly, LibreOffice does about 95% of what Microsoft Office Suite can do, and it's free.

EDIT: I should also mention that there's a push by Microsoft, in its 356 edition (or whatever it's called), to encourage users to store their data in OneDrive via Office. I really detest OneDrive for various reasons (it severely lagging my Windows 10 OS on my computer being the top reason, so I nuked it, and that wasn't easy to do). If you think your files should be stored in the cloud, on someone else's computer, then you might like this product. If you prefer to keep your files on your local machine, you might be better off not spending money for a feature you won't use.

I have compared this office with many other office suits and I can say that this is the best one out there. It has great UI, very easy to find everything. Comes with tons of features to help with productivity and speeding up the process of refining and getting what you need down. There are plenty of templates to get started on the document.

Looks great, nice templates, but everything is sluggish and slow. Micro$oft software is just so full of bloat these days.

So full of bloat I'm surprised it's actually able to load on some of the machines we run in our office, but it's the standard for the industry... :/ The biggest downside is the cost. Why should it cost more for an office suite than the actual operating system it's meant to run on?

For all of my needs, both personally and professionally, I choose LibreOffice. It's quicker, easier to use (especially since Micro$soft changes around the menus every version) and free.
