MediaMonkey Reviews

Really powerful music library manager and player

about MediaMonkey · · Helpful Not helpful

I love MediaMonkey, it's one of those apps that's on my "one day, I'll purchase it" list. It supports addons, it's got a built-in powerful automatic file sorting mechanism where you can simply set up the pattern you want for your unorganized files and automatically rename and/or move them to the folders you want using variables.

I love this app and I hope you will too!

Have been using it for years, and don't intend to change that. I only wish they'd release updates to support new iOS versions quicker :D

There isn't any software that is a *true* alternative to MediaMonkey

I've been using it for years, even after I made the switch back to Mac. I paid for and run Parallels Desktop so that I can run two things that are only available in Windows but are irreplaceable and necessary. One of them is MediaMonkey. The Gold license is well worth it.

I've been saying that for years: the biggest problem about MediaMonkey is that once you start using it, you can never ever go back to using any other software =) you'd be frustrated after half an hour because you already desperately miss 50 features!

I have been using Media monkey for about 1 year. The only thing better than media monkey is JRiver Media Center. They engineered the software for Multicore processors. I can reencode 6 songs at one time. Tagging it easier. You give that a try. Media Monkey right now because I got my library straight.

I tried out the free edition for a couple of days, then jumped to the Gold edition. Works perfectly with my music collection, and transcodes any format I can think of when either syncing my phone or playing music via DNLA to my playstation 3. Fully recommended, updated frequently, and well worth the money.
