Easy to use and runs smoothly even on very old hardware and minimal RAM.

I enjoy Lubuntu very much, they did a good job with it. Its lightweight and fast. Its snappy and good enough to be a main OS, the bugs I experienced seem to be fixed but there are still some.

I'm running Lubuntu 18.04 and I like it a lot.
As others have said, it's a great choice for old, low spec computers. I've run across a few minor bugs in the visual themes and GUI, but nothing worth worrying about. Otherwise very stable. With some theme changes and a different wallpaper, it is actually very nice looking, too. Except for lacking some useless eye candy/visual effects, it does basically everything that the bigger, more bloated distros can.

I have it installed on two different circa 2009 laptops that have single core processors. They are actually fairly tolerable to use and can even handle doing audio and basic video editing. I originally tried Linux Mint Xfce on one of them, but soon switched to Lubuntu hoping it would run a little faster. I wasn't disappointed.

I'm dual-booting this with Win7. It installed wonderfully on my Samsung NC110, didn't have to fix a single thing. It's fast and beautiful. Love it!
