    LogSurfer is described as 'Logsurfer is a program for monitoring system logs in real-time, and reporting on the occurrence of events. It is similar to the well-known swatch program on which it is based, but offers a number of advanced features which swatch does not support' and is a Log Analyzer in the network & admin category. There are nine alternatives to LogSurfer for Linux, Windows and Mac. The best alternative is Logwatch, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like LogSurfer are Log Parser Lizard, Microsoft Log Parser, Retrospective Log Analyzer and Specto.

    LogSurfer is mainly a Web Log Analyzer but alternatives to it may also be Log Analyzers or Database Managers. Filter by these if you want a narrower list of alternatives or looking for a specific functionality of LogSurfer.

    7. LogAnayzer is a text editor specifically designed to analyze log files faster and easier by allowing the user to create, store and apply rules. When a log line contains all the patterns of a rule a match is added to the index.

      Warning

      The "Official Website" link goes through several redirects, and wants to install "Security" browser plugins before allowing you to continue. This looks very suspicious.

    8. Log Parser Studio is a utility that allows you to search through and create reports from your IIS, Event, EXADB and others types of logs. It builds on top of Log Parser 2.2 and has a full user interface for easy creation and management of SQL queries.
