I've only been using this program for a few minutes, but I can already tell I will like it more than f.lux, and I've been using that for years. Much easier on system resources and has none of the arbitrary limitations that f.lux places on its options. I use Windows 10 64 bit.

I'm grateful to f.lux for being the first program to do this, but their development has been essentially dead for the last 5 years aside from creating new ports.

It's easier to configure than Flux. looks simpler and clearer. But there is no option to return the default settings.

I have tried 3 different apps for this purpose and this one is the best so far. f.lux has probably the most features, but on my system it causes bad flickering and weird artifacts in some applications. SunsetScreen works well but the sunrise and the sunset time has to be set by a user. LightBulb works well and moreover it synchronizes the geolocation and the sunrise and the sunset time form the internet.

The definitive alternative to F.lux for Windows

Scared of F.lux's privacy policy and non-free software but don't want to bother with learning how to use Redshift? Lightbulb and F.lux's ease of use and feature-set are nearly identical with exception to F.lux's 'experimental' low color tempratures, screen-dimming functionality, and Philips Hue support. Unlike F.lux, Lightbulb has support for custom hotkeys, but the only useful hotkey is enable/disabling the program.

Why four stars instead of five? If it's the definitive choice then rate it perfect.
