JohnFastman It's better to use a password manager than not. By a mile. So use LastPass rather than nothing. But KeePass is prefereable because a) it stores your passwords locally rather than putting it into some US company's hands, b) LastPass doesn't encrypt domain names of your accounts, c) KeePass is open source.

munteanzeno I use KeePass for credit cards and LastPass for normal accounts. They work fine. LastPass is easy to configure and seems secure enough.

    2. Enpass offers you freedom from remembering too many passwords and other important credentials. It secures them in one place by your master password and makes them accessible anywhere and everywhere - on your smartphones, tablets, or desktops.
      Enpass vs KeePass opinions
Most users think Enpass is a great alternative to KeePass.
JohnFastman Enpass isn't bad, but it's not fully open source. The database format locks you into the Enpass format, which other apps don't open. No two-factor authentication. Hard to see the advantage over KeePass, except perhaps if you only use Mac in which case the browser integration is smoother.

    4. Google Authenticator generates 2-step verification codes on your phone.
    5. Spectre (prev. Master Password) is a password manager which uses it's own, original algotithm: Instead of saving and sending passwords across the internet, Spectre calculates the password you need, only when you need it, then throws it away again.
      Spectre vs KeePass opinions
Almost everyone thinks Spectre is a great alternative to KeePass.
JohnFastman Genius invention. Doesn't store your passwords anywhere; it generates them everytime you put in the same Master password and username/website domain. Therefore, your password database can't be hacked - it doesn't exist. However, it's harder to change passwords for accounts because you have to use the iteration feature. Test it to see if it suits your needs. Thumbs up for open source also.
