This addon is based on lists. If a site isn't on the list, then it won't redirect to HTTPS, even if the site supports it. Because of this, I don't recommend you use this addon. Consider Smart HTTPS or HTTPZ instead.

Update: HTTPS Everywhere now supports automatic HTTPS connections for all websites. We can forget about the other addons, this is what I recommend now.

Still good but redundant if you use Firefox which includes since version 76 in about:config, an HTTPS-only mode, "dom.security.https_only_mode" and which allows you since version 78 to continue to be able to visit the site in HTTP if you really need it.

HTTPS Everywhere is rather basic and uses a list, a site in HTTP will never be redirected in HTTPS even if the site supports it, but in my case of use, 99,9% of the sites I regularly visit are already in HTTPS and the 2-3 HTTP sites I know from memory have never worked in HTTPS with Smart HTTPS, so, HTTPS Everywhere is enough for me as a basic protection, then, it's developed by EFF who made Privacy Badger, which seems to me to be a minimum of trust.
