HideWin Alternatives

    HideWin is described as 'sits in the system tray and enables you to hide any top-level window with its popup tray menu or an ALT+letter hotkey that it assigns automatically. It appears to be abandonware, but it is only 13KB and still works' and is an app in the OS & Utilities category. There are more than 25 alternatives to HideWin for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Linux, PortableApps.com, Windows Explorer and X11. The best alternative is RBTray, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like HideWin are Actual Window Manager (Paid), 4t Tray Minimizer (Freemium), eXtra Buttons (Free) and SmartSystemMenu (Free, Open Source).
