Gnome Pomodoro Reviews

It provides a timer on the system tray. It issues a full-screen notification at the end of a pomodoro session or break, which encourages me to take breaks otherwise I just ignore the timer and continue working

It is simple, it integrates as a gnome shell extension.
A nice shortcut, it's discrete and easy to use

I tried this on 2 Ubuntu 16.04 machines and it didn't install correctly. The author tried to help but no luck so I switched to Pomodoro-Indicator which worked well.

Three stars because the author replies fast to support queries and there are many happy users of this app so it must work in most scenarios.

Simple, free and open source pomodoro timer for the Gnome desktop that does exactly what you expect and has exactly the settings you would expect. What's not to like? Nothing. Nothing's not to like. Hats off.

On a very tangential note: Imagine travelling back in time, say, 50 or 100 years. I wonder what people then would have said if you told them that in the 21st century an invention to make us more productive is called "gnome tomato"?
