esmtp Alternatives

It's based on libESMTP supporting the AUTH (including the CRAM-MD5 and NTLM SASL mechanisms) and the StartTLS SMTP extensions' and is an app. There are seven alternatives to esmtp for Linux, Mac, Windows, BSD and Xfce. The best alternative is Postfix, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like esmtp are msmtp, sSMTP, Sendmail and NikaMail.
