DriverMax Reviews

about DriverMax · · Helpful Not helpful Report as spam

Pros:
DriverMax is still the most reliable free option that I am aware of. You are only able to download two drivers per 24hr period but that's really the only restriction. Reliability is its strongest quality. However, it is sorely lacking in features and transparency.

Cons:
Compared to other driver update utilities, the features in drivermax lag behind a lot. Just a few examples:
Does not display important information about the new driver they offer such as publisher, digital signature.
Unable to manage or cleanup the windows driver store. No ability to manage your own catalog of drivers, user benchmark or ratings for your particular system, ability to place your own notes next to driver file, etc.

Very reliable

So far this has been the most reliable driver updating program that I have used. The only feature that would be great to have is a portable version that works offline so that it can be used on multiple systems without having to re-download the same content over again.
