hands down best browser based download manager. it can even rival many external downloaders as well.

Yep that tool was one of the best for ff.. fast, intuitive, trustworthy... Couldn't find a similiar dl addon until today.. Not for Chrome, FF, or neither Opera

The only thing that made Firefox worth using. Between Mozilla managements politically correct thought police and spiting in the users faces, I've dropped using Firefox.

You are right. Switched to Opera since quite a while... And i don't want to miss it any more ...

Much as this can be installed in pre-57 FireFox and spin offs, it has a convoluted interface, is not directly accessible, and has quite often mistakes origin web pages for links to actual files sought.

Any similar add-on for Chromium based browsers?

Does anyone know such a great add-on for Chromium based browsers?

Must have its best option:

  • hash sum checking

I could not find. thx

Small EagleGet iconEagleGet has a Chrome extension and can verify checksums

Almost, except:

  • is not Open Source
  • only has MD5 & SHA1, none of them is recommended to use anymore

If there were something like GtkHashfor browsers, that would be great. :)

Something like Small Hasher iconHasher ?

Yes, something like Hasher except it is used only for text hashing, missing the file hashing option. We are close to find it.

I told you, not an easy task to find a good alternative for DTA on Chromium-browsers. If i find something i will add it as an alternative.
