Comments about Webmin as an Alternative to cPanel
Very powerful and flexible control panel for servers and vps. If you need to provide access to say web-hosting modules to a non-linux user than you can do so with granular access permissions so they can only break apache and not the ssh. ;-)
Webmin provides all the tools of the big commercial options but is extendable, well supported and free.
closer alternative is cloudmin or virtualmin - and these two are now free.
I would not ever touch webmin again because once it is installed and you start really using it you will constantly miss functions. just google Webmin+docker and you'll see how it is not possible to integrate while it would have been no problem in virtualmin. Once webmin is installed you can NOT install virtualmin. but if you install virtualmin you have that and everything webmin. so unless you intend to trash the server later anyways you should absolute not ever use webmin.
dont lock server , easy install easy remove
