Comments about Just Color Picker as an Alternative to Color Cop
Most Recent CommentIt's as easy as ColorCop and works on Mac OS X as well.
It's more reliable, even though you have to use a keyboard combo--it gets the right color every time.
Yes, it's a mostly good alternative. However, the only way to capture the color is to use a program-designated keyboard shortcut. I don't like this, personally, but others might be fine with it. Seems good otherwise. No install needed; just download and use.

This application is geared towards advanced users (developers, designers, etc…), who not only need to pick a color but also modify or view it in different formats. For simply picking a color on Gnome, the color-picker extension is far better suited.
System Color Picker Features
Way more complex than ColorCop.
