    CocoAspell is described as 'cocoAspell is Mac OS X interface to Aspell – A more intelligent Ispell – that is being developed by Kevin Atkinson. Aspell is an Open Source spell checker designed to eventually replace Ispell'. There are more than 10 alternatives to CocoAspell for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Online / Web-based, Android, Mac and iPhone. The best alternative is LanguageTool, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like CocoAspell are Ginger (Freemium), Druide Antidote (Paid), Grammarian PRO3 (Paid) and tinySpell (Freemium).
