Audacious Features
Audacious vs Clementine
I really enjoy the plug-in features that Audacious offers that I can't find anywhere else. For example, the built-in Dynamic Range Compressor (DRC) is ideal for me because I work in an office with other computer users. I set the DRC to eliminate most of the dynamic range, then I set my volume high enough to hear my tunes. I'll hear all of the music from the loud to quiet portions and I won't miss a thing!

Quod Libet is a Gapless GTK+-based audio player written in Python. Its designed around the idea that you know how to organize your music better than we do. It lets you make playlists based on regular expressions (dont worry, regular searches work too).
Quod Libet Features
Quod Libet vs Clementine
flexid2000Quod Libet is vastly expandible with plugins leaving no wishes unanswered, reading the library is dead fast and it looks well on all gnome/xfce/lxde environments.
It neatly integrates with the GTK environment which makes a very nice look. After studying the various features to tune queries it even equals clementine's intelligent playlist feature. A further plus: scanning a large music library is dead fast. I'll stick to it.
