I've been using it since December 2015 as a CISCO AnyConnect client on Ubuntu and it's worked solidly for me. The CISCO client is outdated, clunky, had known vulnerabilities, and required 32-bit compatibility libraries to run on 64-bit Linux. Took some command-line tinkering to setup (have to install vpnc first). People are thumbing-up the GUI version now, so if you're into that sort of thing, you might try that, but the command line version has worked great for me for almost 4 years now.

rojo OpenConnect GUI is a painless alternative to Cisco AnyConnect that connects to my work VPN without effort. As a bonus, unlike the Cisco client, OpenConnect GUI does not enforce restrictive routes imposed by the VPN administrator, allowing you to retain access to your LAN while connected.

glenkpeterson It's more secure, open source, updated regularly, works painlessly, and doesn't crash. I've been happily using it Dec 2015 - Aug 2019 so far. Configuration is a little painstaking, but no more so than other linux command-line security tools.
