Mozilla Firefox (known simply as Firefox) is a free and open source web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite. Firefox is highly extensible, with thousands of third-party add-ons available. Firefox version 60+ (Quantum) is presently faster than Google Chrome and use less memory than Chrome. Compare to previous versions of Firefox, the Quantum version is twice as fast, promote parallelism, and has more intuitive user interface.
- Mozilla aren't perfect, but Firefox is, overall, still the best browser out there. Just some of the reasons: it's open source (trustworthy), doesn't spy on you like Chrome, has encrypted bookmarks/tabs/settings sync, lots of extensions and a huge array of options under the about:config menu.
- Highly customizable and quite fast.
- Because it's a heavy-weight browser just like Chromium.
