Bulk Crap Uninstaller Reviews

It works, but the left over clean up is very inaccurate, and it takes several minutes to initialize.
The names on programs are often incorrect, and there are many redundant prompts, it also rechecks everything upon task completion, which takes a long time.
Much of the freemium uninstallers are better[at the task]; but they often come with bundleware/adware.
3 stars for quality, but a bonus for being open source.

Five stars for such an awesome review. And I mean that this is how reviews should be written. I wish this review could be pinned somewhere on this website as a template for all those one-line reviews which add nothing except increment the reviews count.

Great going, Chaython. Cheers!

This is probably the best free uninstall utility. It has several features that advanced users might be interested in such as certificate verification, export data, CLI support and crowd-sourced rating info for the apps that you have currently installed.

Ultimate software for uninstallation under Windows platform!

Even don't know what to say about, there's everything what popular commercial solutions has and even more. Interface is very informative, you even see graphical visualization of disk space taken by applications! Before uninstallation, the software can inform you about related applications and third-party programs which related with one which will be uninstalled. It works like a charm!

But you should be careful, because the software can find even some "handmade" installers and recognize them as unregistered installed software, but color highlighting and quick tips will orient you quickly.

Let's get it straight: that thing looks and is dated.

What I mean is, the UI both in looks and ergonomy isn't up to par with what you'd expect nowadays. But let's take a look at how it goes under the hood.

At startup, it will scan for your apps, slowly. Very slowly actually. Once it's done, you select what you want to uninstall, and start the procedure.

What's interesting then is that there is a silent uninstall option – the program will try to uninstall whatever you selected without the need for you to interact with every uninstaller. Not every app is compatible with that, but that's still a massive gain of time. The whole uninstalling procedure might take quite some time though.

Once it's done, BCU will want to scan for your apps again, which is… probably not you want.

All that is for basic settings. There are probably options to disable some things or enhance the experience, but it's probably not worth it, because BCU is exactly one thing:

**The heavy artillery when you need to nuke all these useless programs that piled up through the years. **

As such, it's somewhat imprecise at times, but it gets the job done with very little hassle.

The more functions and possibility the better :-) you can always learn, but programming you own function is difficult ;-)
