  2. Web-browser, advanced e-mail, newsgroup and feed client, IRC chat, and HTML editing in one application. Itis built on the open source Mozilla Gecko engine, the same code which underlies Thunderbird and is the base for the Firefox browser.

    SeaMonkey vs BlueGriffon opinions
This alternative is disputed. SeaMonkey is still a legitimate alternative to BlueGriffon, but it might have issues that some users think are important.

SeaMonkey is a browser; similar to Thunderbird or Firefox. While it does contain some web tools, it contains NO more than something like the inspector in Firefox, and is no where near as robst. It is not a WYSIWYG editor like BlueGriffon.

SeaMonkey is my typical "go to" for WYSIWYG editing of HTML. While it is a browser, it contains a "Composer" feature that opens the WYSIWYG interface. It might not be as robust as BlueGriffon, but I'm not going to use a WYSIWYG editor for a robust project.

    Philip_Goddard

OpenElement works only with its own project files. You can't simply open your existing web pages in OE. So, rather than OE being a replacement for BG, I would have to re-create my big website complex in OE from scratch, albeit importing the text and bits and pieces.
