It's like the Vuze I am used to but without all the annoying stuff!

Very nice, informative GUI which eats a lot of RAM and causes to freeze the application regularly. (On my machine sometimes almost 4GB). This is not for mortals like me. This should not be a Java app.

I see no reason to use this instead of qBittorrent.

BiglyBT is the revived Vuze, minus ads and bloatware. Vuze/BiglyBT is one of the most powerful and feature-rich torrent clients (and also quite RAM-hungry) with a complex interface that you may either love or hate. The developers are available on the built-in chat for bug reports or support.

It's a Great client and works well with PIA and port forwarding. A must have over Vuze.

It deals quite well with large number of torrents, and for sure there is no shortage of options to configure it to your tastes.

BiglyBT disadvantages:

  1. Can't disable DHT.
  2. Can't set speed limit. If the upload speed limit is set to low, it will automatically reset itself to 1:2 upload-download ratio.
  3. It can connect to Tor network, which is very bad for other Tor users.

Humm. Myself, I disabled DHT from the options menu. Plugins -> Distributed DB ( azbp dht )

I don't know about the upload limit reset thing. By chance to you have the setting under options for Transfer - Auto Speed enabled? Maybe that could inadvertently mess it up.
