What is BarTab Heavy?

BarTab Heavy is an unofficial publication of the latest fork of the original BarTab. Keep in mind the last developer is no longer active and claims this version still has some bugs.

Tabs consume system memory and if they have scripts running they can also consume processor time, video and audio may play, they may even have graphic intensive plugins. So it is desirable to be able to unload them when they are not required, especially if there are a large number of them.

The extension is no longer developed but last version, 3.2.1.1, released in August 2013, can be still downloaded from Mozilla Addons.
