Auslogics BoostSpeed Reviews

Be verry careful!

about Auslogics BoostSpeed · · Helpful Not helpful

This program does clean things on your PC...... HOWEVER.... It does not respect your privacy.
Upon test installation, the installer contacted the internet. (the installer)
Then the program contacted the internet.
Then the program created 2 folders in the /appdata/local and roaming folders, with .exe files and they contacted the internet.
Then the program added Scheduled tasks to the task scheduler.

within the operation of the program, it does what it says, cleans cruft from your PC.
The task scheduler tasks are not harmful, but it keeps sending your info over the internet, every time it runs.

I cannot recommend a program that does not respect your privacy!

Automatically inserts itself in your scheduled tasks, non-registered only cleans files.

I don't like that it puts itself in your scheduled tasks by default. Even if you turn off scheduling it still has itself set to start with Windows. Since it's in scheduled tasks you can't disable it with msconfig or the Win10 Task Manager. You have to go to Scheduled Tasks or use something like Autoruns.
And for all this, the non-registered version won't do anymore than than CCleaner will.
I can't recommend this.

Terrible service and support, and now it's a scam

about Auslogics BoostSpeed · · Helpful Not helpful

Still had half a year left on my Boostspeed subscription and the program wanted me to update to version 8. After I did it wouldn't allow me to simply put in my registration code, it wanted me to 'upgrade' again and pay more money. Their telephone tech support is a joke as well. The only one that's worse is Comcast.

Stay away from the product now. They used to be wonderful, but now it's nothing but a scam to take more and more of your money any time they can.

Software works, but support is a scam.... and the subscription is all wrong read below

about Auslogics BoostSpeed · · Helpful Not helpful

Hi all, you won't believe that I bought Boostspeed 7 30 days ago, now they have Boostspeed 8 out. With my subscription I'm not allowed to get a free upgrade... instead they want another $10. This is not cool on so many levels. I'm so mad I can't see straight... the only good thing is I got all my money back.... never use a product under subscription that renig's on what a subscription is supposed to be.... and to boot never told me of the policy in clear easy to read print.

I'm with you on that. Going to take to every element of the net I have to tell people how bad they've become. Now it's a pure scam.

CNET recommends this software, and I trust CNET

about Auslogics BoostSpeed · · Helpful Not helpful

I found Auslogics Boostspeed through CNET when looking for reviews of system utilities. CNET gave it 5 stars and from the program description it sounded exactly like what I was looking for, so I got it. It’s been serving me well for about 2 years now and I have never felt the need to look for a replacement. I have upgraded to version 7 just recently and although it took a bit getting used to, since they redesigned the interface, I find it to be an improvement over the previous version, just as expected. If you are not sure about this or another software program, just check out what CNET has to say about it, it has never failed me.

I recommend it to those who prefer all-in-one solution

I love it when everything is in one place. Thanks to Boostspeed, I keep all the tools I need under one umbrella. That helps me spend even less time on computer maintenance and privacy tasks and keep my machine in top condition. Really good stuff

No freezes, no long startups or unexpected shutdowns anymore!

about Auslogics BoostSpeed · · Helpful Not helpful

My computer works like a well-oiled machine, all thanks to Auslogics BoostSpeed. It does not freeze as often as it used to, it loads and powers down in seconds, the Internet is snappy and shows the speed that I pay my ISP for. Can’t ask for more, BoostSpeed is doing its thing just right and I hope it keeps up the good work for a lot longer. The only thing I don’t like in this program is cartoonish elements that are used to describe system health, but that’s just my opinion…

So many options out there, but this is one of the best!

about Auslogics BoostSpeed · · Helpful Not helpful

Up until about a month ago I had no idea I needed to do maintenance on my computer. I was sure computers could maintain themselves well enough, at least for the short lifetime they seem to have these days. Someone opened my eyes to the whole concept of computer maintenance and I started looking for software that could preferably do it automatically for me. Gosh... all the options out there are enough to confuse anyone! A colleague helped me sort through the information I’ve dug up and choose a couple of options, Boostspeed being one of them. From what I understand, this is one of the most highly rated programs and I’ve seen a lot of happy user feedback online in addition to the expert comments. Sounds like it will be easy to use and can do things automatically, which is very important for me. Will try it out this week. Hope I don’t have to change my review afterwards... Lol

Great customer service from Auslogics…

about Auslogics BoostSpeed · · Helpful Not helpful

I’ve been a subscriber with Auslogics for about 5 years now and must say that this company makes it worthwhile. Even though I have only bought one software product from them (and have been renewing it annually for the last 4 years), I love being their customer.

It really works as described

about Auslogics BoostSpeed · · Helpful Not helpful

It all began with Boost Speed 4 for me a couple of years ago and I’ve seen this program evolve over a long enough period of time to say that it actually does get better with new updates. If you want a quality product to clean and speed up your PC, that’s the one.

Fixed BSOD problem perfectly

about Auslogics BoostSpeed · · Helpful Not helpful

My computer was blue-screening non-stop, it could restart for no reason up to 6 times a day, although one time would be enough to unnerve me. I went looking online for possible causes and found Auslogics, read a bunch of reviews and decided to take my chances and wasn’t disappointed. The app worked beautifully, it resolved my BSOD issue and made my computer faster in general. While at it, I took advantage of other features and cleaned out a ridiculous amount of temporary files and other kind of system junk (about 20Gb freed). Since then Boost Speed is my go to fixing app and I strongly recommend it to anybody.
