Foxit PDF Reader VS Adobe Acrobat Reader
Is Foxit PDF Reader a good alternative to Adobe Acrobat Reader?Comments about Foxit PDF Reader as an Alternative to Adobe Acrobat Reader
Notiz_MeHas the ability to print in booklet format, which a lot of other readers lack.
0The accessibility of the commands is great, the most important features are free. I haven't felt the need to change to a third pdf viewer. Plus, you can print to PDF when many other software started eliminating this option.
2beng tangIn Linux Mint, Foxit is better than Adobe Reader. The version of Adobe Reader for Linux is very old and out of date (and thus may be a security risk) and does not support annotating / commenting on PDF files. Foxit supports commenting / annotating very well with a lot of tools to do various types of anotations. It also opens and displays PDF files very well. So Foxit is not only an alternative to, but better than Adobe, in Linux at least.
0Better than SumatraPDF because of Form field.

Comments about SumatraPDF as an Alternative to Adobe Acrobat Reader
It's nowhere as vulnerable to attacks as Adobe Reader, doesn't execute embedded JS, and renders documents blazingly fast
Very lightweight, always works well, better performance
Sumatra does not support editing forms and adding annotations.
lightweight, fast, windows compatible
If you just want a PDF reader that doesn't consume system resources like a hot, this fits the bill. If you want to be able to interact with Forms and Annotations and still be light on the resources, you can't go wrong with Okular (IMHO).
