FarrukhAlthough it doesn't have a good asset manager, this is the best open-source, Photo ReTouching tool, however with a Steep Learning Curve. Its features more powerful and advance than ACDSEE and even Adobe Lightroom. I've almost switched to it from Adobe Lightroom.

Comments about digiKam as an Alternative to ACDSee Photo Studio
Great viewer, file management and image tag management features provides most of the same functionality.
An open-source, free alternative with lots of good features. But it is slower in performance (tested in Windows 10) as compared to ACDSEE, XnView, and Faststone Image Viewer.
