Instagram for Windows Phone is delisted, relisted, and delisted again

Written about 2 years ago by IanDorfman

On April 15th, Instagram removed support for Windows 10 Mobile from its Microsoft Store listing. No more than two days later, the app had seemingly returned.

The app was relisted after a short two days of withdrawing support for Windows Phone-powered devices. However, the build that was relisted was from last year. This means that features and security updates released in later versions of the app for other operating systems will not be reflected in the Windows 10 Mobile version.

As of this writing, Instagram's page on the Small Microsoft Store iconMicrosoft Store does not list compatibility with Windows 10 Mobile.

This move by Small Instagram iconInstagram is another sign of the inevitability of the death of Small Windows 10 Mobile iconWindows 10 Mobile.
