Gramps is a Free Software Project for Genealogy, offering a professional cross-platform genealogy program, and a wiki open to all.
It is a community project, created, developed and governed by genealogists. You can install third party plugins to give Gramps extra functions such as filters, reports, tools and many others. When you gather your data you can create, edit and store your family tree.
Also, you can write notes and create events for each person that is in your family. Some examples of events would be birth, marriage, children, divorce, death etc. When you are done inputting all your information it is possible to create data and graph reports in many different formats.
Gramps has a good Wiki page where you can learn how to use the program and gives you information on how to find the best sources for your genealogy research project.

The WikiTree community is growing a free worldwide family tree. The site is 100% free. There are no premium memberships. All content is contributed by the users and you can keep copyrights. You can also keep modern profiles private or even hidden altogether.
As you go back in time the profiles become more collaborative. Merges are done individually and profile managers on both sides have to agree to them, but you are supposed to merge duplicates. The community uses an Honor Code to keep things in order.
WikiTree started in 2008 and has been growing slowly and steadily. It's now widely respected in genealogy circles and has thousands of active contributors.
Webtrees is a free, open source, website based, collaborative genealogy application. It works with standard GEDCOM files and is installed on a web server using PHP and MySQL (or Postgres, SQL Server, or SQLite).
