Trying Out

The problem with notetaking apps like Evernote or Apple Notes is that once you write a note, after a week you never look at it again. Without any organization, you're stuck praying that search will work for your future self. On the other hand, creating and following a system requires way too much discipline.
Athens lets you take notes with minimal systems, structure, and organization, freeing you to stay creative and in flow state. Athens does this with [[bidirectional links]], ((block references)), and a graph database.

allTags was developed to manage large file sets efficiently. Time-consuming actions, like naming files and choosing folders, are replaced by flexible tagging operations.
With built-in support functions, allTags avoids inconsistencies and speeds up file description and retrieval. allTags is 100% free to use.
Why is managing files better with allTags?
Traditional, hierarchical file systems have systematic limitations that become apparent when working with a large number of files. Some issues are with using folders as categories, like being able to place files in multiple folders by theme or topic. Or regularly having to change folder structures based on new files.
Other issues stem from creeping inconsistencies with naming conventions, often redundant folder structures and duplicate files. allTags reduces the number of choices you need to make when dealing with files, while providing a fast alternative to file description with the use of tags.

The ShellExView utility displays the details of shell extensions installed on your computer, and allows you to easily disable and enable each

What the software delivered here does is to connect up Explorer with the originally intended support for storing metadata as properties in NTFS in alternate streams in files. If programs had tag lines, then this one’s would be ‘Meta late than never’. But there is no fix for the original problem that caused this feature not to be shipped; for example you will still lose the metadata when you e-mail the file. Personally, I think that's fine: a feature that is very useful even if I have to be aware of its limitations is okay by me. However, I have also included a mitigation. You can export the metadata to a separate XML file, and import it again to reapply it to the original file elsewhere (or indeed to a different file). So, for example, you can e-mail the metadata with a file as a separate attachment. The final element of the package is a file association manager. This is useful because Explorer displays metadata based on the file’s extension. It would be possible to turn on alternate stream metadata for all file types, but this would interfere with the presentation of metadata for the file types where metadata is already supported. Therefore, I have created an association manager to allow you to turn on alternate stream metadata only for specific file types, as many as desired. Because the software implements standard interfaces and stores standard properties in a standard way, existing code can be used for programmatic access to the metadata (see DSOFile), and the metadata is also picked up by Windows search.
MyPaint is a fast painting program with an emphasis on full-screen use. It lets you focus on the art instead of the program. You work on your canvas with minimum distractions, bringing up the interface only when you need it. MyPaint supports pressure or tilt sensitive graphic tablets and comes with an easy-to-use brush collection. There is a complex interface for creating own brushes, focusing on brush dynamics (changes with speed, pressure, randomly).

VB-Audio CABLE is a Windows Audio Driver working as a Virtual Audio Cable. After installing the VB-CABLE driver, a new playback device appears in the audio device list and can be set as default device. VB-CABLE can be set as the default device, just like any regular audio device. The Configure and Properties buttons allow to setup multi-channel features and device sound quality. All signal coming in the CABLE input is going to the CABLE output. This makes it simple to record the audio stream using some other application.
VB-CABLE allows routing audio signals from one application to another. A typical application for the Virtual Audio Cable is to route your sound to an audio software in order to record and analyze it. From whatever audio source, to whatever audio software supporting MME, DirectX or WDM Audio Device drivers.

MrWriter : Notetaking and blackboard replacement application.
MrWriter is an application aiming to replace both pen and paper for handwritten note taking, as well as blackboards for giving lectures in front of students.
