Rhythm Plus is an open source, browser-based rhythm game. In it, you can create your own game maps and share them with anyone, and in turn, you can play other users' game maps through the song selection menu.

Guitar Hero is a series of music rhythm games in which players use a guitar-shaped game controller to simulate playing lead, bass guitar, and rhythm guitar across numerous rock music songs. Players match notes that scroll on-screen to colored fret buttons on the controller, strumming the controller in time to the music in order to score points, and keep the virtual audience excited. The games attempt to mimic many features of playing a real guitar, including the use of fast-fingering hammer-ons and pull-offs and the use of the whammy bar to alter the pitch of notes. Most games support single player modes, typically a Career mode to play through all the songs in the game, and both competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes.
The game series includes: Guitar Hero (for PlayStation 2 - 2005), Guitar Hero II (for PlayStation 2 - 2006), Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS X - 2007), Guitar Hero World Tour (for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii - 2008), Guitar Hero 5 (for Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, 3 and Wii - 2009), Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock (for PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360 - 2010), Guitar Hero Live (for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, iOS devices and Apple TV - 2015).

Also available is a fully functional built-in editor, allowing intuitive creation of your own beatmaps for the songs you want to play.
NotITG is a rhythm game with wacky visuals, designed to make it easier for modfile creators to implement their ideas. It aims to preserve compatibility with all existing StepMania 3.95 and In The Groove mod files, and be the definitive environment for creating and enjoying that content.
"StepMania is software that was originally created in 2001 to serve as a Dance Dance Revolution simulator, during its many years of development the software grew to support even more game modes such as Pump It Up and Beatmania. The single most common game type however is the original DDR style, this game mode can be played on a Dance Pad or keyboard (Or anything you can map 4 keys too such as a Guitar Hero controller or Gamepad). Over the years the keyboard community for the game has grown extensively and broken barriers in relation to what Charts are possible to clear; Etterna is a community developed version of StepMania 5 specifically made with keyboard players in mind." -Etterna Wiki
