Sorry for the late answer. If you want to add alternatives to an application that is already in the database just find the application and click "suggest a new alternative to the application". Then you get a list of apps and so on! Kind of simple.
I can add you as an "Contributor" if you want to? That way you can suggest applications without us having to approve them and so on.
