I tried irfanview, faststone, and xnview. they all have lots of features, but also some clunky behavior. so far xnview is the best.

Very nice

Comment by TDL about XnView Apr 2012

Discovered this soft recently and i find it to be very handy. It can read a lot of formats, including Mac Os .icns icons and it doesn't struggle with Windows icons like IrFanView, which gives a lot of decode errors on my machine (i'm not the only one).

Now concerning bhola's previous comment, i don't think a software using 3 MB of ram should be considered as a hog. It's really easy on my good old Core2Duo too.

Been using this for years, great for viewing pictures and doing some minor editing like cropping, resizing etc.

sux. It can't obey to simple printing parameters, plus it's a hog

Works well in Windows, has some nice features and functions, the IPTC and XMP metadata tools are handy for me. Not stable enough in Ubuntu to use it though, sadly...

Been using it for a while, I prefer it to Infranview, mostly due to interface.
