Love this small portable program has internal codecs so nothing needs to be installed can separate video and audio from each other, and has basic trim functions (without re-encoding providing the codec is supported) . Would be nice if you attach an additional audio to a video though.

Interface is kind of unintuitive, it hangs all the time, but it's good for resizing with aspect ratio and other minor tasks.

nice, free program. it works and works well. however, i tried to convert a WMV video file to Ogg Theora, and the whole bloody thing froze! i'd submit that as a bug, but i don't speak German.

Xinok pretty much sumed it up. It's Free, it supports all of the most common formats, and lets it's users customize the output file(s). I love it becuase it does most of what MediaCoder does, without the constant crashes (such as padding the video, and cutting the video (only convert certain parts)). I love it! The only thing its missing (in my opinion) is a dedicated forum. But, you could always use the forums on sites like Doom9. I give it a solid 5 out of 5!!!

XMedia Recode is my favorite video encoder, and I would recommend it over MediaCoder or SUPER. It's powerful, supporting a large number of container formats, codecs, and other settings far beyond just the bitrate. It has some filters, including resizing and cropping. Lastly, it just works, I've never had any problems converting videos with this program.
