Vmdk2Vhd is a simple utility for quick conversion of virtual hard drive images from VMWare's VMDK format into the Microsoft's VHD format. This is a sector by sector copy operation from one format to the other and the source file remains unaltered.
It settles its job sector for sector reliably and fast. For a 7.5 GB Ubuntu image it needed only approximately a third of the time of Starwind V2V Converter, see http://www.windowspro.de/wolfgang-sommergut/p2v-und-v2v-kostenlose-konvertierungs-tools-fuer-vmdk-vhd-und-xen .

Vmdk2Vhd requires the Microsoft .Net 2.0 framework available via Windows Update and here.
Installation: Unzip the file to a folder of your choosing and run Vmdk2Vhd.exe. We do not have a linux version at the moment. More Info »
