Venom88 has added the 'discontinued' flag already 11 days ago. ;)
Corel does not develop this anymore. Some of the functions of PhotoImpact got included in Paint Shop Pro X3.
The best feature of the Photoimpact is the object handling. I didn't see any alternative to this function in other programs.
